Clinical Research Nurse

Apsida Life Science have partnered with a leading CRO who are looking for a Clinical Research Nurse.

Work Environment: Home-based, with required home visits to patients (no onsite presence needed).

Key Responsibilities:

• Administration of IMP (Investigational Medicinal Product): Responsible for accurately administering the investigational drug according to study protocols.
• Post-Administration Monitoring: Observing and documenting patient responses post-dose, ensuring immediate recognition and management of any reactions.
• Management of Concomitant Medications: Tracking and recording all medications taken by patients alongside the investigational product.
• Adverse Event Reporting: Identifying, documenting, and reporting any adverse events or side effects as per regulatory requirements.
• Monitoring Vital Signs: Regularly assessing and recording vital signs to ensure patient safety.
• COPD Assessments: Conducting specific assessments related to Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease as required.
• Conducting Urine Pregnancy Tests: Administering and documenting urine pregnancy tests as part of the study protocol.

Mandatory Qualifications and Skills:

• Professional Qualification: Must be a Registered Nurse or possess an equivalent local country certification.
• Experience: At least 2 years of post-registration experience in a clinical setting.
• Preferred Experience: Experience in clinical research nursing, with a recent update on ICH-GCP (International Council for Harmonisation - Good Clinical Practice) guidelines.
• Acute Care Proficiency: Proven experience in acute care environments.
• Clinical Competence: Proficiency in administering intravenous (IV) therapies, with essential skills in cannulation and phlebotomy. Competence in managing IV devices and related therapies is required.
• Other Requirements: A current and valid driving license is essential, as the role involves traveling to patients' homes.
