What We're Looking For

We are seeking a highly motivated Director of Engineering that will lead the R&D team in developing innovative products and solutions, ensuring that the company continues to scale and remains at the forefront of industry trends and technological advancements. This executive role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in cutting edge technologies, product development, and agile leadership.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the R&D strategy aligned with the company's overall business objectives.
• Drive innovation by identifying new technologies, trends, and opportunities for product development.
• Lead, mentor, and manage the R&D team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
• Oversee all R&D projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
• Identify talent needs, recruit, and hire top talent to build a strong R&D team, ensuring the right skills and expertise are in place.
• Provide regular updates to the executive team and board of directors on R&D progress, challenges, and achievements.

What You Need

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in R&D, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role, where you managed teams and drove strategic initiatives.
• Proven leadership, communication, collaboration and team management skills.
• Excellent strategic thinking and cross-functional problem-solving and prioritization abilities.
• Track record of successful product development and innovation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to individually troubleshoot complex data issues and implement effective solutions.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Familiarity with tools and frameworks for orchestrating Analytical Pipelines (Airflow, DBT).
• Experience with cloud-based data storage and computing platforms (Google Cloud Platform).

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with ERP’s, banking systems, or financial API’s.
• Knowledge of finance and treasury workflows of US based SMEs.
