We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President of R&D to take responsibility on the company's R&D strategy and lead our talented team of developers and researchers.

We are looking for a technological leader, with strong interpersonal and managerial skills, who is a team player. Taking end-to-end responsibility for the company’s R&D strategy, and performance, and delivering high-quality software solutions on tight schedules in a fast-paced environment to push the company forward.

Position Overview:

As the Vice President of R&D at Seraphic, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of web browser security. You will lead our R&D department and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation, research, and development efforts. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the creation of cutting-edge technologies and strategies to safeguard web browsing experiences for our users.

Your Responsibilities:

• Leadership and Strategy: Develop and execute the overall R&D strategy, aligning it with the company's mission and business goals. Lead and inspire a team of developers, researchers, and engineers.
• End-to-End responsibility for the company's R&D vision, performance, and deliverables
• Managing the entire engineering group in a fast-paced, Agile environment to support the evolving business.
• Engage in the process of building the company's roadmap, as a member of the company's leadership team.
• Develop high-performance, fault-tolerant, scalable solutions.
• Quality Assurance and Testing: Implement rigorous quality assurance and testing processes to ensure the reliability and effectiveness of security solutions.
• Team Building and Development: Recruit, train, and mentor top-tier talent in the field of web security and development, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
• Manage the group’s metrics and KPIs based on R&D and company goals.
• Managing multiple, development projects from conception to completion, and ensuring quality outcomes.
• Working along with Product, Delivery, and Sales teams.

Requirements:

• 4-5 years of experience leading, managing, and scaling R&D teams, in startup environments.​
• B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent
• Tech Experience:

1. Profound knowledge of JavaScript frameworks.
2. Expertise in cloud services such as AWS
3. Proficiency in building high-performance, fault-tolerant, and large-scale systems.
4. Understanding of Cybersecurity products.
5. Ability to plan and architect scalable SaaS products

• Management Experience:

1. Leading 15+ employees (Including Software Engineers, DevOps, QA, etc.)
2. Building teams, hiring, coaching, and motivating staff through learning and development.
3. Comprehensive knowledge of R&D processes meant to develop enterprise SaaS solutions.
4. Ability to actively participate in development, code review

• Interpersonal skills:

1. Problem-solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address challenges.
2. Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
3. Full proficiency in English.
