Expert BI Developer

Job Overview:

As a Expert BI Developer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining cutting-edge business intelligence solutions. Your expertise will transform raw data into actionable insights, driving informed decision-making across the organization. We are looking for a candidate with a unique blend of backend development skills, DBA application experience, and a deep understanding of BI tools and processes. This role also requires the ability to mentor and support less experienced BI developers within the team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain advanced BI solutions to meet the organization's dynamic reporting and analytical needs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements and translate them into impactful BI strategies and solutions.
• Design and implement robust data models, ETL processes, and data visualizations to enhance data-driven decision-making.
• Build and maintain backend infrastructure for analytics data gathered from various clients (web browsers, mobile apps, smart TVs, etc.) using cloud services and custom code.
• Implement and manage AWS services (e.g., LB, EC2 with Linux, Nginx web servers) and develop Node.js applications to process and route data to data lakes and BI platforms (Redshift, Snowflake, Domo).
• Use Airflow for orchestrating complex data workflows and ensuring timely data processing.
• Conduct in-depth data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and improvement opportunities.
• Design and actualize SQL tables, procedures, and views to support the infrastructure of web apps data.
• Ensure data integrity by implementing stringent data quality measures and validation processes.
• Provide expert training and support to users, enhancing their proficiency with BI tools and reports.
• Mentor and support less experienced BI developers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment.
• Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging BI technologies, advocating for continuous improvement and innovation in our processes

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a Business Intelligence (BI) Developer.
• Proficiency in Python – Mandatory.
• Experience with backend development and managing AWS services (e.g., LB, EC2 with Linux, Nginx web servers).
• Familiarity with Node.js for developing custom applications.
• Expertise in designing and implementing ETL processes using tools such as Airflow.
• Strong experience with cloud-based SQL engines such as Redshift, Snowflake, and BigQuery.
• Proficiency with BI and visualization tools like Domo, Tableau, or Power BI.
• Solid understanding of SQL and experience in designing and actualizing SQL tables, procedures, and views.
• Capability to mentor and provide support to other, more inexperienced BI developers.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
