Microsoft Israel is a geography which covers over 3000 employees across Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Corporate Functions. Israel represents one of the most significant Development Centers (ILDC) for Microsoft globally, and is the source of significant innovation and product growth for the company. The Israel HR leader is responsible for developing and overseeing the people strategy and execution across the country by working closely with the ILDC Leader and Israel Leadership team, as well as regional teams to accelerate business outcomes through talent.

Responsibilities
- Strategy Clarity & Alignment - You consult business executive teams in creating and translating business strategies, and lead your team to develop, apply and align people and organizational priorities with organization vision. You provide strategy analysis to understand the implications of strategic choices within and across organizations. You lead efforts to identify gaps in the execution of business strategies, and guide your team to develop and implement interventions.
- Organizational Diagnostics - You partner with business and HR leaders on organizational diagnostics. You integrate and interpret data, identify trends/themes and present findings to senior leadership. You use diagnostics and data to analyze organizational problems and lead improvements in talent management processes/programs, employee engagement/satisfaction and organizational effectiveness; you provide recommendations on strategy and goals, outline action plans and influence adoption.
- People Plan and Employee Experience - You collaborate with business leaders to identify business priorities and leverage the all-up HR People Plan to build consistency across the company. You provide a vision and plan for programs aimed at creating a positive workplace environment and collaborate with internal communications to ensure alignment on messages for internal/external employee campaigns. You ensure alignment of the people plan, people programs, and tools with business strategic goals, and advise on the development and implementation of the holistic people plan (e.g., talent management, leadership effectiveness, diversity and inclusion, culture) for the organization.
- HR Governance and Statutory Accountability – You ensure compliance through a broad understanding of local market laws, regulations, and emerging trends that may affect HR and the country. You manage complex labor and employee legal cases in partnership with COEs and champion a culture of compliance with Microsoft practices.
- Strategic Talent Management - You identify and predict current and future talent needs and influence the design and implementation of strategic talent management solutions. You develop strategic talent plans and ensure the alignment with organizational strategy, data and budgets. In partnership with other teams, you design talent movement plans for critical roles and establish a talent pipeline. You identify strategies to influence talent development plans and programs, and establish a roadmap to build capabilities. And, you lead the partnership with Diversity and Inclusion to develop diversity and inclusion plans for a business and drive vital programmatic efforts.
- Change Design and Orchestration - You define the direction and scope of change and lead changes to new or existing programs or processes. You introduce advanced, large-scale, and or/complex change management plans and facilitate change implementation across the organization. You guide organizational leadership on business and culture transformation processes, and collaborate to develop global change management strategies.
- People Management and HR Community Leadership - You lead and coach the HR Organisation in Israel, both directly and indirectly. You partner across HR to ensure seamless, high-quality delivery of HR services and build relationship with senior leadership teams and COE’s to facilitate a OneMicrosoft approach. You help employees identify growth opportunities, develop skills and build development plans. You drive the execution of projects. You establish and communicate performance expectations, identify and address gaps and monitor performance to ensure plans are met.
- External Impact – You Engage with external HR community and customer/Partners on Modern Work Iniatives and engage with external industry bodies to promote Microsoft relationship building in Israel.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources,(HR) Legal, Business, Psychology, or related field AND Extensive experience with HR or related experience (e.g., hiring, training, performance management) involving applicable employment laws and policies
- OR equivalent experience.
- Extensive People management experience.
