Taranis is currently looking for an experienced a Senior AI Engineer to lead end-to-end projects and create new capabilities to change the world of agronomy and farming of tomorrow!

Responsibilities:

The AI team in Taranis is responsible for all algorithmic aspects in our products with a specific focus on computer vision techniques ranging from classic ML to CNNs and LLMs.

As a senior team member you will be expected to take end-to-end responsibility for the entire development cycle. Working with product and agronomy teams on problem understanding; through data analysis and research of alternatives; designing, implementing and evaluating a solution; and up to integration to production platforms, maintenance and support when needed.

You will work closely with other AI team members, agronomists, product and R&D. Clearly communicate ongoing progress of current projects, as well as expected deliveries of relevant valuable milestones.

Requirements:

Communication skills

• Communicative and with excellent teamwork
• Committed and a team player

AI skills

• 4+ years hands-on experience in solving problems in the vision domain
• Experienced with the development cycle of Deep Neural Networks
• Experienced with ML and classic vision
• Creative thinking, innovative and with problem-solving skills

Programming skills

• proficient programming skills
• 2+ years hands-on experience in Python (or similar)
• Good understanding of functional and OOP
• Experience with cloud computing environments - an advantage
• Experience with docker-container environments - an advantage
• Experience with data rich environments and different DBs (Mongo/Postgres/BigQuery) - an advantage
• Bachelor’s degree (at least) in Exact Science or Engineering
