Overview:
The Core Network Support Engineer will be responsible for day-to-day network monitoring, working with Telits’ partners and customers.
This position provides Tier II & III support for all problems with cellular network-related technology issues and inquiries.
This position will review systems to collect information about problems and perform diagnostic procedures to determine the source of errors. This individual must be able to log and track calls using incident management software, maintain historical records and related problem documentation, and perform triage on all incoming requests to ensure that cases are resolved or routed to the appropriate group for resolution.
Responsibilities:
- Perform cellular network checks.
- Proactively act on events reported by various monitoring tools.
- Perform troubleshooting and escalate internally and externally as required.
- Work with the Core Network engineering team.
- Investigate Technical Support issues and track trouble tickets.
- Communicate directly with customers by email and phone.
- Take ownership and resolve customer incidents per set guidelines.
- Work continuously to increase core network Support knowledge.
- Work with vendors, contractors, service providers, integrators.
- Provide ongoing communication to both customer support teams and engineering staff during times of outage or service impact.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Desired Skills and Experience:
Mandatory Requirement – Bachelor’s degree in information technology/computer science.
- Excellent written and verbal English skills. (Additional languages is an advantage)
- Willingness to be on-call from time to time.
- Willingness to work after working hours.
- Knowledge/experience with telecom and IP networks
- Significant advantageKnowledgeable in GSM/UMTS, LTE, VoLTE, 5G
- Experience in IoT devices.
- Experience with networking troubleshooting.
- Experience using Sales Force or anther ticket system.
- Possess a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a desire for a variety of challenges.
- Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Well, organized with the ability to properly manage individual workload.
- Solid problem-solving abilities.
- Self-starter capable of working independently or in groups.
