Senior AI Product Manager - MCI AI (Microsoft Cloud for Industry - AI Team)

Industry AI team is leading the development of groundbreaking data and AI technologies, at the forefront of Microsoft innovation across the industries. To support the growth of our team we are looking for a strategic and technical AI Product Manager who will work to define and influence the delivery of generative and classical AI models that ensure valuable features are supporting Industry Clouds.

Responsibilities

• Partner with local and remote product teams across Industry Clouds to understand the needs and help define Generative AI capabilities and product features to support business needs
• Partner with data science and engineering teams in defining and driving forward collaboration on top of variety of Microsoft Copilot platforms that will embed AI capabilities
• Become an expert and a key point of contact for the various AI and Cloud services and platforms across Microsoft and provide strategic lens to delivery vehicles for Industry AI
• Provide clarity and focus by developing and explaining business requirements and rationale for engineers and help deliver exceptional products through detailed product specs and measurable objectives
• Support the envisioning, development and execution of the product roadmap and strategy for Industry AI platform and scenarios and communicate clearly about projects, risks, and accomplishments
• Understand the competitive landscape of Industry Clouds and the evolution of Microsoft data and intelligence platforms, to inform product vision and to identify areas of opportunity 
• Participate in rhythm of business activities within the team and across the org to ensure end-to-end success of initiatives 
  
  

Qualifications

We are looking for a capable and versatile professional with deep affinity for technology, data, and AI to drive this next step of innovation at Microsoft. In this role, you will join a new fast-growing “startup” within the company, and you will need to have a point of view on and develop elements of a holistic AI strategy and roadmap that combines technological innovation and a business mindset.

The ideal candidate would be an experienced product manager, technical with strong background in AI scenarios, data platforms, data engineering and deployment of AI models. Ideally, with experience delivering cloud-based services, team player, organized and tidy, with a positive, flexible and can-do attitude.  

 

More specifically, we are seeking pragmatic thought leaders with demonstrated experience of execution: 

• Developing products that are powered by machine learning and leading execution of AI-based innovative features and understanding of platform best practices
• Leading product discovery with internal and external partners culminating in a structured approach for a platform and/or scenarios roadmap
• Employing technical acumen, critical thinking, and collaboration skills to work with data scientists and engineers to achieve quick improvements and breakthrough capabilities
• Influencing and driving clarity on strategy and objectives through strong written and verbal communication
• Driving cross-functional projects and managing diverse stakeholders to achieve impact
• Bringing together capabilities from across a variety of platforms or products to support a variety of data-first business requirements and scenarios
  
  

Requirements

• 5 years+ of product and technical experience in the Data and AI scenarios or platforms space
• BSc or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related technical experience
• Familiarity with MLOps and data engineering processes for AI features or platforms
  
  

Additional qualities and experience (desired): 

• Experience with public clouds and cloud-based AI platforms
• Understanding of data and information architecture
• Experience working with Data Scientists and ML Engineers
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Dynamics 365, Power Platform M365 are a plus; if not, desire to acquire expertise is required
• MBA or other advanced degree preferred
• Knowledge of a particular industry area (e.g. Financial Services, Retail, Manufacturig) is a plus; if not, desire to acquire expertise is required
