The Data Science role in Armis is critical to the product offering, responsible for all Machine Learning algorithms embedded in the product. From determining accurate profiles for assets based on network data (is this a computer? IP Camera? X-Ray Machine?) to detecting abnormal behavior of assets, we build innovative models to answer our client's most critical needs.

We’re looking for an experienced and visionary Data Scientist to lead the Data Science Research team and be our ML algorithm expert!

The individual would lead a team of Data Scientists and Analysts responsible for existing and new algorithms and play a pivotal role in directing and developing the usage of Data Science and ML Algorithms across the company to new and exciting areas. We’re looking for Data Scientists with a passion to solve data problems and make significant contributions and impact!

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of Data Scientists and Data Engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
• Research & Development: Lead and drive new Data Science and ML research projects, designing and implementing algorithms that enhance various product areas.
• Project Management: Collaborate with product teams to set research goals, define project scopes, and ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
• Expert Consultation: Act as a subject matter expert in Data Science for the group and broader R&D department.
• Performance Optimization: Oversee the improvement and monitoring of ML models in production, ensuring they meet performance benchmarks.
• Scaling & Evolution: Guide the team in scaling operations, maintaining high-quality research, exploring new areas, and implementing streamlined workflows.
  
  

Who We’re Looking For

• Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in designing and developing Data Science and Machine Learning algorithms, with a proven track record of success.
• Data Expertise: Proficient in working with large datasets and production data, with experience in Big Data and parallel processing (NoSQL data stores experience is a plus).
• Leadership: 2+ years of leadership or management experience in a Data Science role, demonstrating the ability to inspire and guide teams.
• Education: Advanced degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Production Experience: Strong background in bringing Data Science research into production or working in production-oriented ML environments is highly advantageous.
• Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with network or cybersecurity concepts is a plus.
• Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with peers and stakeholders.
