ML Engineering Technical Lead

Job Description: We are VieRally, a SaaS startup building an automatic, end-to-end platform for predictive viral marketing and influencing. Our MVP, live with early customers, predicts what content will become viral and has been responsible for creating exceptional 20x multipliers on customer’s social marketing effectiveness. We are seeking a highly talented, experienced, and motivated ML Engineering Technical Lead to join our senior leadership team. Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in machine learning and software engineering operations, and have experience in developing, deploying, and maintaining machine learning models at scale.

This role will focus on leading VieRally’s Machine Learning engineering practice end-to-end, a central component of our business. This will include refining the strategic direction of the company and developing the processes, tools and team to develop models into stable and useful products. As a core leadership function you will report directly to the CEO and be expected to take full responsibility for your area of focus, in addition to participating in all significant business and product decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Optimize the current offering and build and incubate new solutions based on customer demand and market opportunity
• Build and maintain robust ML pipelines that support the deployment of machine learning models developed by the data science team.
• Collaborate with data scientists and software engineers to ensure seamless integration of ML models into production environments.
• Automate model training, validation, deployment, and monitoring processes to ensure efficient and reliable model lifecycle management.
• Implement best practices for version control, continuous integration, and continuous deployment (CI/CD) in the context of machine learning projects.
• Provide technical guidance and support to team members on MLOps-related topics and best practices.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• 7+ years of experience building and leading technical teams (data scientists, solution architects, developers, etc.) developing products based on machine learning models
• Proven ability to define and build out new service and solutions offerings end-to-end, including overall responsibility for delivery to the end customer
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
• Experience with machine learning frameworks and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
• Proficiency with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Bachelor's degree or Masters degree in CS, software engineering, data science, or a related field.
