R&D Infrastructure Engineer

Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for an R&D Infrastructure Engineer at a company that develops an Image Management solution that provides complete and scalable local and wide area Picture Archiving and Communication System [PACS] solutions. The R&D Infrastructure Engineer will manage the IT infrastructure supporting the Ra’anana site. In this position, you will enable the R&D teams to meet their goals by delivering support for the development environments.

Responsibilities:  

• Provide IT infrastructure support for a team of 300 R&D members.
• Oversee all components of the local data center, including hardware, software, networking, and storage.
• Participate in local help desk operations.
• Assess and implement new technologies to enhance IT infrastructure and continuously improve internal services for increased productivity.
• Collaborate with vendors and third-party suppliers.
• Assist in various audits, including those related to security.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in IT support R&D teams
• A Bachelor’s degree in any engineering discipline.
• Strong and proven hands-on experience in defining, installing, and managing NAS & SAN storage, with a preference for Dell hardware.
• Strong and proven hands-on experience in defining installing and managing DELL Hardware Servers and networks with a preference for Dell hardware.
• Extensive experience in installing, managing, and implementing Physical and VMWare clusters.
• Experience with VMware, Network configuration, Storage Management, and Operating Systems. - must
• Proven and strong hands-on experience as a system administrator - must.
• Experience Windows-based platforms GPO, Active Directory, Security
• Experience with Data Center maintenance, High Availability & Disaster Recovery, Backup & Recovery strategies
• Experience with PowerShell
• Strong communication skills (Fluent in English)
