Director of Mobile Photo and Video Apps

We are seeking a highly skilled Director for the Photo and Video apps to lead a multidisciplinary team responsible for our suite of iOS photo and video editing apps. The primary challenge of this role is to drive business growth through innovative product development and effective team management while prioritizing the goal of achieving and maintaining profitability

This role will report directly to the C-level executive overseeing this domain. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product management, a deep understanding of the mobile app landscape, and the ability to drive innovation in a fast paced environment through product development and effective team management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Matrix Management: Manage and mentor a diverse team of a Product Manager, Tech Engineers, and Marketing Specialists. Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
• Product Strategy: Develop and execute strategic plans for our photo and video editing apps. Ensure alignment with overall business objectives and market trends.
• Project Management: Oversee the entire product lifecycle from ideation to launch, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards. Coordinate cross-functional efforts to meet project milestones.
• Business Orientation: Drive business growth through data-driven decision-making, market analysis, and competitive benchmarking. Identify new opportunities for revenue generation and user engagement.
• Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for C-level executives, providing regular updates on project status, challenges, and achievements. Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Performance Monitoring: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess product success and team performance. Implement continuous improvement initiatives based on performance data.
  
  

• Minimum of 5-7 years in product management or project management, with advantage to a proven track record in managing mobile apps. Experience in photo and video editing apps is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated experience in leading and managing multidisciplinary teams. Ability to inspire and motivate team members to achieve common goals. Background in business or marketing is an advantage.
• Strong business orientation with the ability to drive strategic initiatives and deliver measurable results. Understanding of market dynamics and user behavior in the mobile app industry.
• Ability to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders, solid understanding of iOS development and technology stack
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to present complex ideas clearly and persuasively to senior management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. MBA or equivalent advanced degree is a plus
