R&D Team Leader

A B-round startup founded in June 2020 that is leading the Compliance Automation space for hyper growth companies is looking for a R&D Team Leader.

The company believes that credible, visible, and actionable data should be the foundation of every GRC (governance, risk, and compliance) team’s decision-making process. That is why they help enterprises collect and standardize data from hundreds of SaaS tools, cloud infrastructures, private networks, databases, and more, to gain continuous visibility into their Security Compliance posture.

As the company's R&D Team Leader, you will spearhead a dedicated Integrations R&D team, collaborating closely with the Integrations Product Manager. Your mission is to drive the development and delivery of the company's extensive plugins offering, ensuring the customers can seamlessly navigate their tech landscape and meet their GRC objectives. You will lead the scale phase of the company's integration development cycle, addressing market demands, and managing hundreds of integration requests to keep the product robust and highly responsive.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and Inspire: Mentor and guide a team of talented software engineers, fostering their growth and professional development.

Innovate and Execute: Oversee the design, development, and deployment of over 150 integration plugins, utilizing 700+ unique data points.

Collaborate and Align: Work closely with the Product Manager and other stakeholders to define project requirements, priorities, and timelines.

Ensure Excellence: Uphold best practices in software development, including code quality, testing, and documentation.

Drive Improvement: Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging experimentation and adaptation to new technologies.

Integrate Seamlessly: Coordinate with other R&D teams to ensure cross-platform features function smoothly.

Monitor and Optimize: Evaluate team performance, address challenges, and identify opportunities for improvement.

Who You Are

A seasoned software engineering professional with 5+ years of experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role.

Proven track record of leading and mentoring engineering teams in dynamic startup environments.

Strong technical expertise in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure) and high-level programming languages (e.g., Python).

Experienced in developing distributed systems and microservices architectures.

Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions independently.

Excellent communicator and collaborator, able to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Passionate about fostering a positive team culture and driving continuous improvement.
