The Corporate Social Responsibility Director will be responsible for developing, implementing, and the monitoring all CytoReason’s social aspects, including Impact, ESG, DEI, philanthropy, and community involvement. This role will report directly to the CEO and create and implement policies, frameworks, and programs to meet evolving business needs and various stakeholders’ needs, including investors, customers, vendors, and employees.
The individual who will fill this role will constantly monitor and analyze the internal and external environment to understand long-term risks, evaluate opportunities that may unlock business value, and develop business cases to support meaningful recommendations that accelerate innovative solutions, competitiveness, and business and societal impact across CytoReason’s ESG material areas to support business growth and sustainability.
Responsibilities:
- Develop an ESG strategy, policy, and impact framework.
- Manage and report ESG to relevant stakeholders.
- Review customer ESG requirements continuously and implement appropriate policies and procedures relating to such requirements.
- Determine the impact of key performance indicators (KPIs) relating to the Company’s businesses to be monitored, measured, and reported upon.
- Manage and monitor energy, including baseline the Company’s current scope emissions, and develop a plan to reduce emissions where possible.
- Ongoing monitoring of the Company’s climate-related risk, including monitoring regulations relating to GHG reporting and opportunity screening to understand the Company’s potential physical and transition risks.
- Develop an approach to regulatory horizon scanning for ESG and maintain a regulatory register of all applicable regulations and policies for the Group
- Lead, develop, and maintain the Health and Safety (H&S) domain in the company, including training, liability insurance, and more.
- Lead the business ethics strategy and policy in the company.
- Enhance and maintain the company’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) policy by including initiatives and a DEI plan.
- Bachelor's degree
- Strong knowledge of ESG frameworks, regulations, and best practices
- Relevant certifications in ESG, DEI, or related fields
- At least 5 years’ experience in ESG, DEI, and compliance roles
- Experience in Social Compliance and working closely with suppliers, auditing frameworks, and tools
- Expertise in key frameworks and standards
- Independent, Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Able to influence across functions and communicate clearly and effectively, translating complex concepts for a range of audiences
- Strategic and creative thinker with excellent analytical and storytelling skills
- Advanced degree in law or MBA
- Lawyer license
