Head of Security Innovation

Sola Security is looking for an experienced, visionary and strategic leader with strong hands-on Security engineering and operations experience to establish and lead our Security Innovation function from the ground up. We consider this a senior, strategic role, reporting to the COO and with direct impact on Sola’s growth and success.

Position Overview

The Head of Security Innovation will act as Sola’s primary “builder” function - an internal, hands-on design partner. Your primary objective will be to leverage and translate your hands-on Security knowledge, skills, expertise and vision to help Sola change the way Security practitioners address challenges and implement solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Establish and lead the Security Innovation function, defining its mission, objectives, and strategic roadmap aligned with Sola’s vision and goals.
• Owning a full lifecycle of ideating features, enhancements and applications based on Sola’s platform, self-developing and testing them, as well as promoting Sola in various aspects within the Security community.
• Work closely with other teams (Product, Architects, Security, R&D) to influence and enhance Product strategy and vision, internally and externally.
• Build applications on-top of Sola for the development of business enablement and high impact functionalities to meet market requirements and standards.
• Lead the ideation, conceptualization, and implementation of innovative security features, application and solutions that strengthen Sola’a product offering based on Sola’s own platform.
• Security Evangelism: Act as a subject matter expert internally and externally, advocating for best practices in security design, implementation, and testing. Provide guidance and mentorship to team members on security-related matters.
• Be a part of the Sola community, lead discussions and drive innovation oriented engagement across Sola’s internal and external resources.
  
  

• At least 5 years of experience as a hands-on Sr. Security Engineer or Head of SecOps.
• Deep understanding of security principles, protocols, and technologies and solutions. Specifically cloud security, AWS, GCP and Azure security practices, security monitoring and alerting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and anticipate future security challenges.
• Advantage: BSC in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
