Product Designer Lead

About The Role

The Product Designer Lead will play a crucial role in ensuring that Maven’s vision and offerings are effectively delivered to its user base through an innovative, clear, consistent, and efficient user experience. This position entails leading and developing a team of talented product designers, establishing and maintaining design processes, and collaborating closely with product managers and other stakeholders to deliver exceptional user-centric solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Product Design team, including hiring new talent, onboarding new employees, and mentoring team members
• Be hands-on and actively participate in team work, contributing to design tasks and projects alongside your team members.
• Establish and maintain design processes in collaboration with the product team, including research, design, validation, and prioritization
• Act as the user’s voice and champion, representing user needs, pains, and usage scenarios
• Collaborate with other PMs to identify dependencies, highlight collaboration opportunities, and understand the overall timeline of projects
• Ensure that user-centric solutions align with the company’s vision for success
• Provide stakeholders, especially PMs, with user-centric, elegant, and efficient solutions that meet users’ needs
• Demonstrate high standards of professionalism, management style, and morale within the Product group
• Contribute to the overall business objectives by leveraging design knowledge and experience to make better business decisions
  
  

• 5+ years of experience in UX/Product Design, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
• Proven experience in leading and developing a team of designers
• Strong understanding of UX methodologies, including user research, usability testing, wireframing, and pixel-perfect design
• Expertise in standard UX/UI software (mainly Figma)
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Passion for user-centric design and the ability to advocate for users’ needs
