Data Engineer Team Leader

The Data Engineer Team Leader is responsible for leading a team of Data Engineers and to help us grow our data team's capabilities. The ideal candidate is a Data Engineer with leadership experience, who is self-driven, motivated, independent, and sharp.

Requirements:

Must have:

• At least 4 years of experience with the following programming languages: Python, Scala and/or Java - any combination of the above is acceptable
• At least 3 years of experience with SQL
• 2+ years hands-on data engineering experience
• 2+ years of leadership experience
• Being a leader in two successful projects with two completely different teams
• Good knowledge of Scrum and/or Agile methodologies in general
• Experience in designing technical solutions oriented both on: Performance, Cost minimisation
• Ability to collaborate with business people to deliver requirements to the team
• Good understanding and knowledge of Data Structures and Algorithms, like: Data Structures: Lists, Stacks, Queues, Tree, Maps/Dictionaries, Graphs. Algorithms: Sorting, Searching, Shortest Path, Recursion, Hashing
• 2+ years of experience in cloud computing (any of Azure, AWS or GCP) Experience with pandas or similar
• English – fluent, both written and spoken
  
  

• BSc or MSc in Computer Science / Statistics / Math / Engineering
• 2+ years of experience with Google Cloud Platform (especially with BigQuery)
• Knowledge of: Apache Airflow, Apache Beam
• Scrum certification (any, not only PSM)
• Project management certification (any)
