Avalor is applying its data expertise to security, enabling companies to better understand and manage risk. We are seeking a passionate R&D Team Leader to work in a #HYBRID model from the Ramat Gan office and report to the Manager, Software Engineering in Israel.

Position Overview

As an R&D engineering manager at Avalor, a Zscaler company, you will help build a great new product (CAASM) that will be added to Avalor's offering. You will have the opportunity to guide, motivate, and support your team to achieve a critical part of our objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, Lead, and mentor a team of 4-7 Software Engineers, in all aspects while emphasizing personal example and hands-on capabilities
• Build a new product that will be added to Avalor's offering
• Own the monitoring, alerting, performance improvement, and troubleshooting of the team's microservices
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and maximize efficiency
• Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams at Zscaler
  
  

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of experience in a technical leadership role, with a proven track record of achieving team objectives
• 5+ years of hands-on experience (preferably in Java, Python, k8s, and containers. Advantage: experience in React and Typescript).
• Lead the team from a technical standpoint is critical.
• B.Sc . or higher degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
