Head of Data Science

We are looking for an experienced Data Science manager to lead the Data Science team

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of data scientists and, MLOps and data engineers.
• Oversee end-to-end research, development and production aspects of >30 projects utilizing Clalit's structured and unstructured data.
• Ensure high quality and methodological rigor in delivering advanced medical research and building state-of-the-art AI products.
• Mentor and support the team in their professional growth.
• Align employees with organizational goals while maintaining engagements and motivation in the team.
• Foster successful collaborations within Clalit Innovation, across other departments within Clalit, and with external partners in pharma and Academia.
• Represent the DS team and communicate its work to internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Statistics or related filed
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in applied machine learning and in delivering AI models
• 3+ years of experience in managerial roles
• Deep understanding of Data Science methodologies, including Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Large Language Models, etc.
• Strong coding capabilities and hands-on experience with Python, R, SQL
• Knowledge in statistics and Causal Inference - Advantage
• Strong organizational and managerial skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Background in healthcare or life sciences - Advantage
• Fluent in Hebrew and English
