Senior Software Engineer

Overview

Brightmerge is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Developer to join our innovative team. This position will act as the senior developer for the Brightmerge platform, working closely with product management to build and enhance features effectively. The role involves determining how to incorporate features and functions into both the backend and front end of the Brightmerge platform, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Platform Development: Drive the development of the Brightmerge platform by building and integrating features and functions as directed by product management.
• Team Collaboration and Guidance: Assist other developers in prioritizing work and estimating efforts to build features. Act as the key resource to guide best practices in software development.
• Architectural Planning: Collaborate with leadership to define the architecture of the platform, ensuring alignment with overall product strategy and business goals.
• Algorithm Integration: Work with the algorithm team to embed new features into the core algorithm, enhancing the platform’s capabilities.
• Code Review and Mentorship: Review code, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior developers to foster a culture of continuous improvement and learning.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Technical Proficiency: Strong expertise in Python, GitHub, and Amazon Web Services
• (AWS).
• Data Science Acumen: Familiarity with data science methods and tools, essential for integrating complex features into the platform.
• Experience with LLMs: Knowledge and experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) to leverage advanced machine learning capabilities.
• Senior Development Experience: At least 3 years of experience in a senior development role, with a total of 5-10 years of overall software development experience.
• Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills to manage development work efficiently.
• Effective Communication: Ability to work and communicate effectively with management and cross-functional teams.
