A large financial organization is hiring a Mainframe systems specialist.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and administer mainframe systems, ensuring their reliability, availability, and performance.
- Install, configure, and maintain z/OS operating systems and associated software components.
- Monitor system performance and capacity and implement tuning and optimization strategies.
- Perform system upgrades, patches, and migrations in accordance with best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to hardware, operating systems, and applications on the mainframe platform.
- Implement and maintain security measures to protect mainframe systems and data.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to system configurations, processes, and procedures.
Requirements:
-5 years of experience as a Mainframe Systems Specialist
-Experience working with IBM mainframe hardware and z/OS operating systems.
-Proficiency in DB2 database administration on z/OS.
-Proven experience in installation, configuration, and maintenance of z/OS operating systems and -related software.
