Nursery School Director

About the Position:

CityKids by Newton a leading and pioneering company in early childhood education for English Speakers, is looking for an experienced and dynamic Education Director to lead and oversee the operations and educational programs at our school. This role requires a strategic leader dedicated to fostering a positive learning environment and ensuring the success of both staff and students.

Role Description

The Early Childhood Director is responsible for the management of day-to-day operations of the school which includes hiring and onboarding teachers, mentoring through collaboration and goal setting, providing ongoing support for parents and families, maintaining a fully enrolled, developmentally appropriate, program aligned with the

Ministry of Education and the CityKids educational philosophy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee administrative duties, staffing, student enrollment, customer service, and office management.
• Develop and maintain the center budget to support optimal enrollment and growth.
• Ensure the program is fully enrolled at all times.
• Mentor teachers in behavior management, classroom organization, and teaching approaches.
• Utilize knowledge of child development and early childhood education standards to guide instruction.
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with staff, parents, and community members.
• Maintain an inviting physical environment fostering optimal growth and development.

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or a related field.
• Proven experience in school management or a similar leadership role within an educational setting.
• Advanced English proficiency
• Strong leadership and mentorship skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks in a dynamic environment.
• Knowledge of child development and early childhood education standards.
• A passion for early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.
