AI Backend team leader

One of our clients, a dynamic Israeli startup, is looking to hire a Software Engineering Team Lead with a strong background in AI systems in production. This company specializes in developing advanced AI-driven products that provide real-time insights and personalized recommendations to improve users' daily lives. Their innovative solutions leverage state-of-the-art algorithms and data analysis to offer unique features and benefits.

What You'll Do:

• Manage and lead software developers focusing on Backend and AI infrastructure/MLOps.
• Oversee team roadmap, team building, and project execution.
• Collaborate with Algorithms and Data teams on solving real-world problems.
• Promote best practices in Software Engineering and System Design.
• Design and implement production-grade AI solutions and data platforms.
• Lead scale-up projects and technical research in the AI Group.

Requirements:

• 5+ years in Software Engineering.
• 2+ years leading software teams.
• B.Sc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Experience with high-scale, production-grade projects on cloud platforms (preferred: AWS).
• Proficient in programming (preferred: Python Java or Rust).
• Strong self-learning skills and problem-solving abilities.
• Passion for writing clean, robust code.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with ML in production, DevOps, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
• Knowledge in Computer Vision and Machine Learning.
• Experience with Data Engineering and Big Data Pipelines.

Additional Information:

• Open to senior developers without management experience.
• Will manage a team of 3 developers.

Company location: Tel Aviv (near the train). Hybrid work model: 2 days in the office, 3 days remote.
