Sensors Mechanical Engineer for a medical device company

Job Description:

Technical expert, driving innovation and guiding the development of cutting-edge medical magnetic sensors. Work closely with cross-functional teams to provide technical leadership, mentorship, and expertise to facilitate the successful execution of projects from concept to commercialization.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for the design and process development of various sensor products

Utilize engineering principles and design methodologies to develop innovative magnetic sensors products that meet customer needs and regulatory requirements.

Continuous monitoring of the project’s timeline, budget and resources.

Generate detailed product specifications, CAD models, and engineering drawings using software tools such as SolidWorks or other.

Managements of the prototyping and testing of new concepts, utilizing rapid prototyping techniques, , and laboratory testing methods to validate design concepts and optimize product performance.

Analyse test data and iteratively refine product designs based on feedback and test results.

Maintain comprehensive documentation of design activities, including design history files, design verification and validation reports.

Prepare and deliver technical presentations and reports to internal stakeholders and project teams.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities for efficiency gains, cost reductions, and product enhancements.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

Minimum of 3-7 years of experience in product development, preferably of medical devices

Rich Experience in mechanical design and process development

Proficient in CAD software (SolidWorks or other) and other engineering design tools.

Precise tooling and jigs design capabilities, coiling design experience- advantage

Experience in working under quality system environment, ISO 13485- advantage

Experience with the adoption and qualification of sensitive and precise process machinery

Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and prioritize tasks effectively.

Familiarity with various manufacturing technologies, prototyping techniques, laboratory testing methods, and product validation processes.

Excellent English, verbal and Oral- Must

The job requires 3-4 business travels abroad a year.
