We are looking for enthusiastic second and third-year computer science/bioinformatics students or entry-level juniors to collaborate on a groundbreaking research endeavor focusing on big data/multi-omics analysis for cancer research and therapy. This project stands at the forefront of scientific advancement, leveraging state-of-the-art bioinformatics tools and large language models to pioneer innovative strategies for combating cancer.

As a research assistant on this project, you will:

• Work on developing and implementing bioinformatics methods for medical data analysis.
• Play a significant role in developing and refining groundbreaking therapies for cancer.
• Utilize state-of-the-art bioinformatics tools and platforms (in collaboration with AWS and Azure).
• Apply large language models in bioinformatics to drive innovative research and solutions.
• Collaborate closely with seasoned researchers and mentors who are esteemed leaders in the field.
• Contribute meaningfully to a project with the potential to positively impact the lives of numerous individuals affected by breast cancer.

Proficiency in R and Python libraries and other bioinformatics and big data analysis tools is essential. A sincere passion for science and a readiness to learn are also required. While prior research experience is advantageous, this opportunity is ideal for students eager to acquire practical skills.

Part-time Research Assistant Position

• Hours: 3-4 days per week (40-100 hours per month)
• Adjusted for reduced workload during exam periods
• Pay: Hourly, based on qualifications
• Location: Tsarfaty Lab, Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences, Tel Aviv University
• Hybrid position
