Mid - Senior SW/ Embedded Engineer

• This role involves relocation. Starting at our R&D center in Israel and then establishing one in the US in 6-12 months

About the Job:

We're seeking a Senior Embedded Engineer to be a key part of the development of our energy management system. This pivotal role will guide design, implementation, testing and integration, collaborating closely with internal teams and external partners. We seek a dynamic individual with a can-do attitude, ready to lead and execute with excellence.

We're seeking individuals with a proven track record in the following areas:

• Communications protocols: Familiarity with different communications protocol in the renewable energy and locomotive industry i.e. CAN Bus and Modbus TCP/ IP.
• Experience in protocols such as 4G/ 5G/ LTE, SPI, I2C, RS485 is an advantage.
• 4+ years of experience developing embedded systems, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
• Strong knowledge and proven experience in programming languages such as C, C++ and Python.
• Experience in microcontrollers and embedded system architecture.
• Working knowledge in using JTAG/ SWD debugger and communication sniffers.
• Experience in developing a product from the requirements stage to a mass production.
• Experience in the renewable energy field is an advantage - design and implement a control algorithm for the BESS (Battery Energy Storage System).

What You'll Do:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop the energy management systems computer and the Voltify computer, ensuring compatibility with our battery tender, DC-DC converters, DC Cabinet and locomotive.
• Implement innovative solutions to optimize integration challenges and system performance.
• Conduct thorough testing and validation to ensure reliability and safety standards are met.
• Lead both internal development and work with suppliers on requirements, design decisions and interfaces in areas like serial communication, sensors integration and contractors' mitigation control
• Drive and participate in a culture of rapid development and testing
• Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to maintain our competitive edge.
