About Flipkart Israel:

Flipkart has made a strategic decision to establish an Israeli center that will spearhead the

mother company’s R&D in machine learning, optimization algorithms and predictive analysis.

The center is leading multiple projects such as price optimization systems, competitive

intelligence, and an AI-based marketplace platform. Flipkart Israel is growing by recruiting top

engineering and academic talents, while assuming new responsibilities within Flipkart

International.

Job/Project opportunities:

• End to end price optimization and management system for Flipkart - the most comprehensive and innovative solution for pricing in the online retail world, for managing prices of tens of millions of consumer products, for hundreds of millions of shoppers, based on ML algorithms and predictive analysis.
• ML-based marketplace platform for products and sellers, for selecting and onboarding the products sold on Flipkart, managing and servicing hundreds of thousands of sellers, hosting tens of millions of consumer good products.
• You will test ML-based algorithms and systems that the company is building. You will be responsible for end-to-end quality release of features and products, create test plans, work both in a software testers team and also independently on your domains of ownership. You will interface with software developers, product managers and data analysts for your work.
• You will analyze large data sets for identifying patterns and trends and use ML models to test the effectiveness of different courses of action for AI-based optimization algorithms that the company is implementing. The solutions that you will help create will contribute directly and immediately to the performance and success of Flipkart in key areas.

Job responsibilities:

• Analyze large amounts of complex data to identify meaningful patterns and build useful models
• Develop custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets, including data preparation and normalization
• Apply scientific methods to design, create, tune, and interpret machine learning models
• Design and execute statistical tests to derive insights
• Come up with new and creative research ideas and insights
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to implement end to end solutions.

Skills and Qualifications:

• MSc in computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics, bioinformatics, Statistics or related fields from a leading institute
• At least 2 years of hands-on R&D experience
• At least 5 years of data science and machine learning experience
• Experience using mathematical & statistical programming languages (R, Python)
• Experience working with relational databases
• Experience in statistical modeling techniques
• Experience working with cloud environment
• Capable of working both independently and as part of a team
• "Can-do" attitude
• Advantage: experience working with time series datasets
