Sr SW Development Manager, Trainium Collectives Team, Annapurna Labs

Description

Annapurna Labs is an integral part of AWS and develops HW and SW components that are critical building blocks for EC2 infrastructure. We specialize in designing semi-conductors, systems, chips, and software that optimize the AWS customer experience.

We are seeking a Sr SW Development Manager that would lead a team responsible for development of the ML Collective Operations on the AWS Trainium platforms. A successful candidate will have an established background in HPC interconnects, preferably in ML domain, and good understanding of collective operations. The ideal candidate will also have a deep understanding of computer architecture and operating systems (Linux especially), while being comfortable in server and embedded environments and programming sophisticated embedded devices for AWS.

This role includes direct interaction with the customers, and multiple AWS teams, as well as collaboration with executive leadership and technical leaders on new products definition.

You will be also responsible for hiring, coaching, and promoting software engineers and managers.

Basic Qualifications

• 10+ years of engineering experience
• 5+ years of engineering team management experience
• Experience partnering with product or program management teams
