The Position

Join OPSWAT as a Director of Software Engineering as part of the MetaDefender for IioT contributing to the success of initiatives in OPSWAT’s MetaDefender software solutions. In this position, you will inspire the teams responsible for developing new products that enhance the overall solution. This position is aimed at an individual with demonstrated success building and leading teams delivering software solutions in the security space.

What You Will Be Doing

• Partner with Product Management team to develop, lead and execute new product features.
• Work with the Engineering team and Product Management to provide input on product roadmaps.
• Lead other team leads or managers as part of a larger organization.
• Review PRDs and provide feedback and guidance to the Engineering team.
• Decide the feasibility of implementations, by driving proof of concept projects.
• Review and improve existing engineering processes.
• Drive innovation and steer the product technology to a leading market position.
• Mentor, coach and provide career path opportunities to team members.
• Partner with Sales, as required, to ensure they get needed help responding to technical challenges prospects raise.
• Partner with Customer Success team to understand the customer’s needs and wants.
  
  

What We Need From You

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related major
• Experience leading remote software development teams
• Prior experience in software products/services for the security space
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
• Passion for building leading technology.
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Experience implementing software engineering industry best practices.

• Experience developing cross-platform software products.
• Experience developing cloud delivered services or products.
• Experience developing enterprise applications.
• Experience implementing SDLC with a strong focus on secure coding and design.
• Experience in developing telco-grade security solutions – an advantage
