Managing Editor
Reporting to the Edito-in-Chief, the managing editor of the Rapaport Magazine will oversee and coordinate the publication's editorial activities. The managing editor will oversee the editorial team.
Responsibilities
- Lead, Manage, and hold accountable the members of the editorial team
- Create and enforce deadlines for the editorial team
- Enforce policies set by the editor in chief
- Responsible for the expansion of the editorial team over time
- Approve content for print or final copy
- On matters of controversy, decide whether to run controversial pieces
- Oversee news operations
- Supervise the copy-editing, typesetting, proofreading and other steps in initial production
- Develop content marketing strategy and oversee content production
- 3-5 years of editorial experience in a similar role
- English at a mother tongue fluency level
- Experience managing teams
- Must demonstrate command of the highest standards of written English.
- Must be an excellent communicator and team player who thrives in a collaborative setting.
- Must have the highest organizational skills and an exceptional attention to detail.
- Must have extensive experience as a people manager and coach
