VP System Engineering and Product (Hands-on Role)

Job Description: We are looking for a dynamic leader with over 7 years of hands-on experience in system engineering, specializing in electrical or electronics engineering. As our VP of Systems and Product, you will work closely with our CEO and CTO to translate cutting-edge technology innovations into market-ready products. Your role will be pivotal in integrating hardware and software solutions, with a focus on optical components, and driving our early-stage startup to the next level of success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, hands on, system engineering efforts to transform technological innovations into market-ready hardware products.
• Oversee the comprehensive development of hardware products, focusing on system engineering, electronics, programming and integration.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure timely delivery of products.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with manufacturers and suppliers to support hardware development and procurement.
• Embrace a hands-on approach, actively participating in the development process to ensure high-quality outcomes.
• Exhibit a can-do attitude, resourcefulness, and independence as a self-starter in a dynamic startup environment.
• Thrive in an early-stage startup environment, driving innovation and strategic growth initiatives.

Qualifications:

• MSc in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in system engineering, preferably in startups or tech-driven environments- MUST
• Expertise in hardware product development, system architecture, and integration- MUST
• Proven project management skills, with experience managing timelines, budgets, and resources.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive results in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting.
