Senior Algorithm Engineer for a Defense Tech Company

A leading defense tech company is seeking a Senior Algorithm Engineer for a role that includes: Design and development of algorithms for military navigation systems with multi-disciplinary integration involving software, firmware, and hardware disciplines. Participation in design, implementation of new projects, and maintenance of existing projects. Engaging in the evaluation of new technologies and leading the architectural design and implementation of algorithms in a simulation environment, supporting software, hardware, and firmware teams in implementing algorithms on embedded systems, building architecture, and more.

The position is located in Jerusalem

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or Electronics / Computer Science / Physics - Required
• Master’s degree in Computer Science / Mathematics / Electronics with a specialization in Signal Processing – Advantage
• Proven experience in simulation environment development – Matlab or Python environment - Required
• Proven experience in writing technical documents in both Hebrew and English - Required
• Approximately 8 years of extensive experience in developing algorithms in the fields of cellular, navigation, including building algorithmic architecture - Required
• Ability to set up a simulation environment and adapt it to embedded systems - Required
• Proven experience in understanding software and firmware architectures as a basis for implementing algorithms (fix point, polyphase filter, FFT)
• Development and deep understanding of communication including modulation methods – decoding, error protection and correction
• Deep understanding of GPS constellation or similar constellations – Advantage
