System Engineer

A high-tech company engaged in developing chips for the satellite communication sector for IoT markets.

The company develops satellite communication modems with software-defined radio and multi-beam antennas to support advanced communication standards.

They collaborate with teams both in Israel and abroad, including Bulgaria, England, and other locations.

They are seeking individuals with experience as system engineers in the RF field, specifically in satellite communication, reception, and transmission.

The company’s offices are located in Rehovot, Science Park, with most work conducted from the offices.

About the role

• Be a part of the system engineering group, leading the design of satellite communication terminals.
• Working with worldwide R&D teams
• Understanding product requirements and deriving system and sub-systems requirements
• Be a technical lead and owner of system under your responsibility, work with various R&D teams in the company

Responsibilities

• As a part of the team, the responsibility is to get a product designed from stakeholder requirements, setting requirements for all company’s disciplines – System architecture, HW, SW, RF, antennas, analog, DSP & mechanics.
• Create and own system requirements and specification documents
• Carry out system reviews (SDR, PDR, CDR), risks mitigation plans and design tradeoffs
• Defining system architecture, interfaces, functionality and features
• Leading system integration plans and carry out integration activities
• Simulating performance and various system functionalities

Requirements-

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in EE
• 5 years of experience as a system engineer. Proven record of system engineering of multi-disciplinary product including RF and antennas domain.
• Deep understanding of Tx and Rx RF channels and DSP
• MATLAB/Python hands-on knowledge
