Manual QA

Position Overview: We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated Manual QA Tester to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of quality assurance processes, and a passion for delivering flawless digital products. At Empire Media, the QA team plays a critical role in bridging the gap between development and product teams, ensuring seamless collaboration and high-quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough manual testing of web and mobile applications to ensure they meet the highest standards of quality and performance.
• Identify, document, and report bugs, defects, and issues using Jira.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and designers to understand project requirements and provide timely feedback.
• Develop, maintain, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Participate in requirement reviews, design reviews, and code reviews to provide QA perspective and insights.
• Ensure all test activities are completed on schedule and meet the defined acceptance criteria.
• Act as a key point of contact between development and product teams, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in QA and testing.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Manual QA Tester or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Familiarity with Jira and Agile frameworks.
• Experience in regression testing and working in fast-paced environments.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.



Preferred Skills:

• Experience with automated testing tools is a plus.
• Knowledge of SQL and scripting.
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other web technologies.
• Background in financial products and services.
• Experience in testing mobile applications is an advantage, as the company also has a mobile app.
