Software Configuration Specialist

Our Military Aircraft Division is seeking a Software Configuration Specialist.

Configuration Management involves controlling the processes of introducing changes to software components, defining and maintaining software versions and editions, and providing reliable information about the software at any given moment in the system lifecycle.

What will you do:

• Responsibility for project configuration control, software documentation, and full engineering supervision including identification, construction, control, and status reporting.

• Working in ALM & Software Configuration Management environment, deep understanding of software development lifecycle, continuous improvement ability of processes, and divisional management.

• Responsible for preparing Software Configuration Management Plans (SCMP) in the project and monitoring their implementation.

• Ensuring unambiguous identification of versions, links, configuration details, etc.

• Responsible for Change Management, Change Control Boards (CCB) concentration, and change approval processes.

• Ability to build and restore any version of the application.

• Tracking relationships between software components.

• Reporting and disseminating information among all stakeholders in the system (development, manufacturing, marketing, SQA, customer support, etc.).

• Requires both independent and team capabilities.

What we're looking for:

• BSC in Electronics / Software / Computers - Mandatory.

• Two years of experience in software configuration management - Mandatory.

• Strong knowledge of DevOps principles and practices - Advantage.

• Familiarity with GIT, Azure DevOps, Jfrog - Advantage

• Fluent spoken and written English - Mandatory.

• High-level Excel skills - Mandatory.

• Experience working with configuration management processes in security companies - Advantage

• Familiarity with quality standards such as ANSI 649, and ISO 10007.

• Experience with PLM/ALM

• Experience in writing guidelines, and work instructions related to software configuration management processes

• Experience leading significant changes in configuration management matters

• Excellent problem-solving and analysis skills.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
