Job Overview
As the Senior PPC Specialist, you'll play a pivotal role in driving growth and revenue through compelling and strategic paid search campaigns. You'll be a data-driven leader, constantly optimizing and experimenting to ensure we're reaching the right audience with the right message at the right time. This role will primarily manage large-scale PPC campaigns with substantial budgets on Google Ads, including strategic planning, execution, and optimization.
Responsibilities
- Develop and Execute PPC Strategies: Create and implement comprehensive paid search strategies aligned with overall marketing goals and objectives.
- Campaign Management: Manage and optimize PPC campaigns across major search engines (Google, Bing), including product listing/shopping and text/search ads.
- Budget Management: Oversee and manage substantial PPC budgets, including monthly distribution and daily bidding. Experience handling budgets in the tens of millions is essential.
- Keyword Research: Conduct in-depth keyword research and analysis to identify high-traffic, high-intent keywords.
- Ad Copy and Creative Development: Work closely with design and content teams to create compelling ad copy and creatives that resonate with target audiences and drive conversions.
- Landing Page Optimization: Develop strategies for optimizing landing pages to increase conversion rates.
- Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze campaign performance, using data-driven insights to inform strategic decisions and improve outcomes. Generate insightful performance reports and present data-driven recommendations to stakeholders.
- A/B Testing: Design and execute various types of testing (e.g., A/B testing, incrementality testing) to measure and improve channel performance.
- Competitive Analysis: Research and analyze competitor advertising campaigns and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.
- Generative AI Utilization: Leverage generative AI tools such as ChatGPT or equivalents to enhance campaign strategies and performance.
- Stay Updated on Trends: Seek new growth opportunities and stay up-to-date on the latest paid search trends.
- Collaboration and Mentorship: Foster a collaborative environment and mentor junior team members on paid search best practices.
- Generate Performance Reports: Provide regular reports on campaign performance and KPIs to the Social Paid Team Leader.
Requirements
- Experience: 5+ years of experience managing paid search campaigns in a competitive e-commerce or retail environment.
- Budget Management: Proven experience in managing large-scale advertising budgets, specifically handling budgets in the tens of millions.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis, reporting, and generating insights from data. Familiarity with tools such as Google Analytics, Google Ads, Bing Ads, and Tableau.
- Technical Skills: Advanced understanding of keyword research, targeting options, bid optimization strategies, and product feed management.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present data-driven insights to stakeholders.
- Collaboration: Team player with a proactive, motivated, and organized approach. Ability to work closely with design, content, and other teams.
- Self-Learning: Ability to multitask, manage different priorities, and self-learn new tools and techniques.
- Generative AI: Experience with generative AI tools such as ChatGPT or equivalents.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in economics, statistics, marketing, or a related field.
- Language Skills: Fluent English skills (writing and speaking).
