Staff System Integration and Test Engineer

Responsibilities

MaxLinear is seeking a System Integration and Test Engineer to join our System Validation team in Israel.

We are looking for a person who enjoys teamwork and can work independently with a strong knowledge of testing and networking.

• As a member of the System Performance Validation team, you will become a key player of the activity including:
• Verify End to End system performance use cases.
• Verify and build test setups for various network topologies.
• Develop test plans and feature lists
• Engage in new feature development as part of team.
• Evaluate, troubleshoot, and test the performance of product software in search of bugs and errors.
• Push for bug fixes, re-testing and follow-up
• Assist in Setups development including different MxL wifi platforms.
• Collaborate with other team members in software, debugging, Customer support and issue reproduction
• Execute system testing and contribute to release quality reports

Qualifications

• Embedded devices
• Wireshark packet tracing and debugging knowledge
• Knowledge and understanding of TCP/IP protocol Suite
• knowledge of Linux systems
• Planning, writing and running of test documents STR, STP, STD
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Languages: Bash, Python – Advantage
• Familiar with lab equipment (Ixia, Spirent, Litepoint, Digi, APC, etc)-Advantage
• Familiar with IEEE 802.11 wireless standards- Advantage
• Familiar with WIFI testing – Advantage
• 6 years of software testing capabilities.
• BS in Electrical Engineering or related + 6 years of experience, or MS + 3 years of experience, or Ph.D.
