My client a leading provider of advanced public data API solutions is seeking a super intelligent, technically astute, independently orientated Senior Back End Engineer/Developer. Areas for success:

• Lead the design, development, and optimization of services tailored for processing high volumes of network communication data.
• Apply advanced software engineering principles to optimize code performance, scalability, and resource utilization across services & algorithms.
• Mentor developers and promote knowledge sharing within the team.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in R&D, identifying opportunities to enhance our code, methodologies, quality and technologies.

What you should bring:

• A degree in Computer Science/Software engineering OR a comparable experience from well renowned companies
• 5+ years of proven experience working with backend technologies at scale, specifically in building and maintaining complex software systems.
• Familiarity with AWS and/or other cloud platforms.
• Ability to quickly dive into new products and understand their inner working.
• Experience in a wide variety of technical tools such as different DB types, queues, design patterns, and architectures.
• Experience with large-scale high-load distributed systems & performance.
• Excellent communication skills - you will be regularly in touch with Product, Technical Account Managers (who provide feedback from clients) and other Engineering teams

Key superpowers required:

• Believe we can do more than just review pull requests, and want to unlock that belief.
• Have experience developing a backend service in TypeScript/Node.
• Have experience from a SaaS company.
• Have proficiency in DevOps tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Observability Tools, Terraform.
