Nexyte, Cognyte’s Analytics Platform division is looking for a dynamic Engineering Director to join our team in a strategic management role and to help a passionate R&D department scale to the next level.

As an engineering director you will be in charge of our core platform with multiple autonomous dev squads/feature teams, as well leading our customer facing Delivery/Professional Services team.

You'll also mentor, coach, and nurture the team to achieve high velocity and great quality while keeping a healthy work-life balance.

As a Cognyter you will:

• Work closely with Product, Architects and our other senior R&D leaders to build our product offerings
• Lead the Delivery and Professional services teams responsible for deploying our product to provide business critical value to our customers
• Developing roadmaps & strategies that accelerate feature development for our teams
• Lead a passionate, agile engineering team to deliver features and improvements to our product that is high quality, scalable, and secure
• · Champion an atmosphere of continuous improvement by serving as a coach, mentor, and technical advisor
• Provide technical expertise throughout all phases of the development lifecycle to help drive the product roadmap
• Retain, hire and continuously grow top engineering talent teams
• Proactively identify ways to continually improve the quality of our products and the efficiency of our team
• Defining, tracking and reporting on key performance indicators to determine support effectiveness and efficiency

For that mission you’ll need:

• 5+ years of Engineering Management experience, leading multiple teams using agile methodologies
• Customer-centric attitude with prior experience working directly with end users, sales and professional services
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Broad understanding of various cloud development technologies and trends for enterprise-scale, distributed systems
• A positive get it done attitude and the ability to effectively prioritize and advance multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to recruit/develop technical team members and inspire/motivate an engineering team to work together as a cohesive and highly productive unit.
• Passionate about building teams that focus on delivering the best possible customer experience with performance, scalability, security, and efficiency in mind
• Prior experience with big data analytics, structured and unstructured data and machine learning an advantage
