Servers Team Leader

Job Description :

We are seeking an experienced IT Team Leader with strong Linux skills, some Windows skills, and comprehensive knowledge in backup and storage solutions. The ideal candidate will lead and manage the IT team, overseeing the IT infrastructure, ensuring system availability, while maintaining security best practices at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the IT team, providing direction, mentoring, and support.
• Manage and administer Linux servers, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability.
• Oversee support for Windows servers, troubleshooting issues as they arise.
• Design, implement, and manage backup and storage solutions to safeguard data integrity and availability.
• Monitor system performance and security, implementing necessary updates and patches.
• Collaborate with the IT team to develop and implement IT policies and best practices.
• Document IT processes, system configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Stay updated with the latest technology trends and recommend improvements to our IT infrastructure.
• Coordinate with other departments to align IT initiatives with organizational goals.
• Manage IT projects, ensuring timely delivery and within budget.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an IT Team Leader, System Administrator, or similar role.
• Strong proficiency in Linux (e.g., Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu) administration and scripting.
• Working knowledge of Windows Server.
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware).
• Solid understanding of network protocols, firewalls, and security best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Linux+, Red Hat Certified System Administrator, Microsoft Certified: Windows Server) are a plus.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
