About the Role

As our Backend Tech Lead, you will be design, build, and maintain the backend infrastructure for Factify’s document platform. This key tech role offers a unique opportunity to build, from the ground up, the infrastructure layer of a platform that will disrupt the world of digital documents and redefine the future of documents - everywhere.

You will solve highly complex technical challenges, hold a leadership role in a world-class US+Israel technical fast moving startup team, and create a lasting technical legacy.

You will...

• Lead design and development of backend services and APIs at the foundation of our SaaS and document-as-a-service platform.
• Design a robust, complete development lifecycle including testing, deployment, monitoring and tooling.
• Implement and optimize data models and databases that handle very large traffic volumes.
• Design solutions to unique server-side security challenges.
• Mentor and lead junior engineers.
• Live on the bleeding edge of backend development

You have…

• 7+ years of experience in backend software development, with a focus on building scalable and high-performance systems.
• Hands-on experience of database management systems, including e.g. MongoDB, Redis, Postgres, and Pinecone.
• Supernatural talent for backend programming in languages such as Python, Node.js or Go.
• Extensive experience in all major cloud platforms, and familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Extensive experience in backend frameworks such as FastAPI, Django, Flask, or Express.js.
• Superb problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, and a proven ability to work effectively in a fast dev team environment.
