Project Manager - Sustainable Tourism

The International Projects Team, led by the Environmental Unit of Eilat, is at the forefront of numerous Research and Innovation projects funded by the EC in the fields of Smart City, Energy, Tourism, and more. We are in search of an experienced project manager to lead and oversee a recently funded sustainable tourism project, contributing to the achievement of the city’s ambitious net-zero goal by 2030.

Your Mission

As a Project Manager, your responsibilities will include overseeing the project, engaging in daily coordination with stakeholders, managing budgets and KPIs, and ensuring the overall success of the initiative.

The ideal candidate should possess high organizational skills, be a quick learner, demonstrate a proactive and positive approach, and have substantial experience in project management, including tracking budgets and monitoring KPIs.

This role demands self-management, the ability to initiate projects, and a problem-solving approach. The candidate should be adaptable to changes, capable of working effectively under pressure, and skilled in collaborating with stakeholders from various sectors and domains. Assertiveness, teamwork and proficiency in professional English are essential.

Responsibilities

- Conduct day-to-day discussions and meetings with stakeholders from the hotel industry, the municipality, researchers, and European colleagues.

- Continuously monitor the project's progress in all aspects, including content, budget, and reporting.

- Establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.

- Develop action plans.

- Manage project KPIs and create efficient project documentation.

- Ensure timely task delivery within scope, budget, and cost.

Administrative Details

- Freelancer, full-time position.

- 75%-100% from the Municipality’s offices.

- Reside in the Eilat area.

- Proficient in computer skills and project management tools.

- Fluent in English and Hebrew.
