Bio-Process Engineer

Implementing and executing Bioreactor Development in the set-up, operation, and associated analysis of cell cultures in bioreactor processes.

General operations such as bioreactor operation, sterilization, and setting up cultivation processes in bioreactors to maintain run schedule.

Design and performance of experiments focused on the growth of mammalian cells in bioreactors upstream processes.

Collaborate with multiple areas to execute support and project management.

Maintain records and test results.

Requirements:

B.Sc. / M.Sc. in cell biology/biochemistry/chemical engineering/bioengineering / biomedical or related technical field.

A minimum of 3 years’ experience in bioreactors and process development.

Relevant industrial experience in upscaling processes in bioreactor systems.

Experience in working in an aseptic environment

Experience in mammalian cell culture (advantage: MSCs, IPS, and CHO cells).

Experience in GMP manufacturing.

Ability to motivate peers and staff, foster a culture of continuous improvement and operation excellence.

Experience with 3rd parties (equipment vendors, and contract manufacturing insourcing/outsourcing).

Project management skill set with experience in strategic/tactical planning.

Capable of identifying problems and proposing potential solutions.
