A global pharmaceutical company is looking for a Pipeline Medical Advisor in the Immunology field.

The position combines 50% field activity and meetings with public opinion leaders.

Reporting to the immunology medical manager.

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring a strong medical and scientific presence of the company at research sites and central scientific centers, by facilitating clinical research and interventional trials in phase 1-3 with the company's drugs, while supporting requests for medical and scientific information about products or areas of therapeutic interest for the company.
• Creating and nurturing close working relationships with the site's management and monitoring team and participating in facilitating the initiation and conduct of company-led clinical trials.
• Scientific and technical leadership to ensure professional and reliable relationships with researchers.
• Consultation with doctors, pharmacists, and other medical professionals, to refer suitable patients to clinical trial sites and to review clinical practice issues at the request of the researcher or the referring sites.
• Liaising with opinion leaders to provide proactive research ideas on pipeline products, assets and support requests to local and global medical teams as needed.
• Delivering reliable presentations on scientific matters in the field of disease liability and pipeline products to researchers in an interventional study sponsored by the company.
• Identify opportunities for R&D collaborations with key institutions and opinion leaders and liaise with the Research and Evaluation team and Discovery or Clinical Development teams to facilitate further evaluation.
• Facilitate medical and scientific field intelligence - for example, maintain a list of researchers/potential researchers within a given TA, understand competitive research activities at active or planned research sites, generate insights from researchers on challenges and opportunities for company-sponsored clinical trials - and challenge, if necessary, within the company.
• Participation in relevant scientific meetings and conferences.
• If necessary, assisting physicians with requests for access to the company's medications on a patient-by-name or compassionate-use basis, subject to all applicable legal and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

• An advanced degree (e.g. PharmD/MD/PhD) in a relevant scientific discipline is strongly preferred, but candidates with a Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline and demonstrated experience will be considered.
• At least two years’ experience in pharma as an MSL/Medical Advisor - mandatory
• Solid knowledge of the pharmaceutical environment and the role of Medical Affairs to advance the medical and scientific goals of a pharmaceutical company.
• Proven experience in the scientific methods applied to clinical research and current legislative/regulatory controls applicable to that research.
• Ability to learn comprehensively about professions and new environments.
• Excellent written and spoken communication and presentation skills.
• Proven ability to develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships with opinion leaders, physicians and other healthcare decision makers.
• Good level of written and oral English.
• High customer orientation.
• A strong commitment to compliance with the relevant rules and procedures, and to scientific quality and integrity.
• Experience as a licensed pharmacist - a big advantage
• Project management and problem-solving skills
• Good interpersonal interaction and teamwork
