Data Scientist

A stealth mode startup in the neuro-technology field has developed a technological interface for decoding brain activity, essentially creating the next generation of human-machine interaction. They are developing groundbreaking technology for decoding brain activity, which is expected to be integrated into various aspects of life.

They are nearing the closure of Round A funding, making it an excellent time to join. The company was founded by experienced entrepreneurs, including the CEO, who holds a Ph.D. in neuroscience and completed a postdoc at Columbia, and the CTO, who is a Deep Learning researcher.

The company is located in Tel Aviv near a train station, supports one day a week of remote work, and employs 35 people.

The role involves theoretical scientific work and conducting experimental research in brain science.

Role Description:

• Joining the company alongside another neuroscientist and working with leading experts in Deep Learning
• Building clinical experiments, performing analyses, and interpreting results from models
• Conducting research using AI methods and working with neural networks in Python with Pytorch, Tensorflow/Keras on diverse data, mainly signals (specific background in signals is not mandatory; a research background in DL/NN along with scientific background in relevant/related fields to brain science is required)

Requirements-

● MS.c. or Ph.D. in computational science (neuroscience, physics, biology, statistics, etc.)

● 3 years experience in data science, working on neural network explainability and high-dimensional data

● Significant understanding of machine learning and deep learning concepts

● Strong ability to perform data analysis Independently, including problem definition, state-of-the-art computational techniques, statistics and significance testing, and visualizations

● Experience analyzing neural or other physiological signals (a plus)

● Superb verbal and written communication skills, especially with people from diverse disciplines

● Excellent organizational skills
