The WEAD Solution detects water anomalies by integrating data from various systems such as AMR, GIS, customer billing, and environmental systems. Responsibilities

• Design and implement highly scalable and reliable backend services from scratch.
• ⁠Monitor system performance and optimize for latency and scalability.
• ⁠Recruit new team members and provide mentorship.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in backend development.
• ⁠Experience architecting cloud-native applications and data pipelines from scratch.
• ⁠Deep understanding of distributed systems.
• ⁠Knowledge of Microservices, Service Mesh, and container technologies.
• ⁠Hands-on experience with various database technologies, including relational, time-series, and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with analytical workloads, knowledge of data lakes/warehouses, schema evolution and more.
• Understand the architecture and trade-offs of row/column-oriented design.
• ⁠Understand real time and batch data pipelines, experience with scalable and fault-tolerant system design.
• Knowledge of water management systems or the utilities industry is a plus
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
