Grip Security is looking for a Senior Automation Engineer to join our community!

Using the newest technologies, we're working on solving a huge problem all enterprises face today - govern the accessibility of all its employees to all 3rd party vendors (GitHub, SendGrid, Atlassian, and thousands more!) and make sure there is no leftover/unwanted access to any of the organization's SaaS assets.   

The Job 

As a Senior Automation Engineer at Grip, you will play a central role in building automation infrastructure from the ground up, revolutionizing our software quality assurance processes. Your key role will involve architecting and implementing robust automated testing frameworks tailored to our specific requirements and technologies. Working closely with development teams, you'll drive the adoption of best practices in automation, promoting a shift-left approach to testing that identifies and addresses issues early in the development lifecycle. 

Responsibilities  

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of tailored automated testing frameworks from inception to deployment, closely aligned with project requirements, as a cornerstone of our shift-left strategy. 
• Take ownership of building automation infrastructure from scratch, leveraging industry best practices and emerging technologies to drive efficiency and reliability. 
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements, architecture, and technology stack, ensuring alignment of automation strategies. 
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to other team members, guiding them in automation best practices, coding standards and framework development. 
• Conduct thorough analysis of existing manual testing processes and identify opportunities for automation, aiming to minimize manual effort and increase test coverage. 

Requirements

• At least 5 years of automation engineering experience. 
• Experience with cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, etc. 
• Demonstrated hands-on experience in designing and implementing large-scale automation infrastructures, collaborating effectively with DevOps, developers, and QA teams. 
• Proficient in software development methodologies, Agile practices, and CI/CD pipelines. 
• Proven experience of conducting thorough code reviews and providing mentorship to team members. 
• 2+ years of automation experience using JavaScript or TypeScript- an advantage. 
• Experience working with PlayWright- an advantage.  
• Experience in DevOps methodologies - an advantage.
