Duty Drawback Specialist

The ability to provide duty drawback solutions is a critical element in the company’s core services and is a major aspect of the company’s growth, compliance, and international expansion. As a duty drawback specialist, you will play a crucial role in the long-term success of our drawback solutions.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Duty Drawback Specialist to join our Operations team. You will work closely under the management of the Drawback Manager, based in the United States, and collaborate with various internal stakeholders, including data configuration, account management, and project management teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Audit and Compliance: Support audit requests for import/export shipments to ensure accuracy of data and adherence to eligibility.
• Duty Drawback Program Management: Utilize the Duty Drawback Program to reconcile paperwork and retrieve duty paid on eligible imports.
• Financial Analysis: Proactively monitoring financial performance of the duty drawback programs for clients.
• Documentation Management: Maintain proper documentation management and filing/record-keeping systems to ensure all records are accurate and easily accessible.
• Coordination with Freight Forwarders and Customs Brokers: Assist freight forwarders and customs brokers with import and export issues related to all shipments
  
  

• Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience in Business, Supply Chain Management and/or Logistics.
• Strong organizational and time management skill with the ability to work independently.
• Experience working in a fast-paced global environment with the ability to juggle between multiple projects or competing priorities
• Strong proficiency in MS Excel
• Basic knowledge with SQL
• Fluent English (written & spoken) and excellent communication skills.
• A team player that will work cohesively with other team members to achieve department goals
• Experience in International Trade Compliance – preferred (but willing to train the right candidate)
