Senior BI Developer

MyHeritage is looking for a talented, sharp, curious, and accountable Senior BI Developer with a strong analytical orientation who can fully own the BI & Analytics life cycle of their domain.

This is a unique opportunity to join the MyHeritage BI & Analytics team.

With tens of millions of people who use our product suite in 42 languages, your role at MyHeritage will have a direct and immediate impact on our global user base.

In this unique position you will build complex data pipelines, effectively solve problems, and proactively investigate and recommend ways to achieve improvement. This position involves collaboration with the product, marketing, finance, R&D, sales, customer support and management teams.

The ideal candidate has a combination of technical skills and deep analytical understanding, and will play a crucial role in analyzing data to uncover actionable insights that drive strategic decisions and enhance customer experiences.

What you'll do

• Develop and maintain robust BI solutions and dashboards using SQL, Tableau, and other relevant tools.
• Design and optimize ETL processes to ensure efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze business requirements.
• Perform advanced data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
• Create and deliver compelling presentations that communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Implement and maintain data quality standards and best practices.
• Monitor and optimize BI system performance.
  
  

What you bring

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Information Systems, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• At least 3+ years of proven experience as a BI Analyst or similar role in a B2C environment.
• Expertise in SQL for querying and manipulating large datasets.
• Tableau/Looker — proficiency in data visualization tools and dashboard development.
• Experience with ETL tools (e.g., AirFlow, Informatica, DBT, Talend) for data integration and automation.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills, with experience working in cross-functional teams.
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas effectively to stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience with cloud-based BI solutions (e.g., AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery) — a major advantage.
• Expertise in Python — a major advantage.
