Multidisciplinary System Engineer

Description

The ATE Group leads the development of complex, multidisciplinary (software, hardware, optics, mechanics) capital equipment machines designed for the characterization, calibration, and production of Innoviz's cutting-edge LiDAR technology.

The System Engineering team within the group is responsible for multidisciplinary tasks, including electro-opto-mechanical design, software system definitions for implementing different calibration algorithms and imaging analysis, system integration and validation planning, etc.

As a key member of the development team, you will:

• Lead the design and development of ATE multi-disciplinary systems involving optomechanics, electrical HW, algorithms and SW
• Bring-up multi-disciplinary setups
• Execute complex system integration tests and experiments
• Write scripts in Python that communicate with external devices
  
  

• B.Sc. In Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or similar from a leading university – must. M.Sc. – an advantage
• Experience and proven track record in a similar role, large-scale project with strong technical orientation in a multidisciplinary company – at least 4-5 years must
• Experience building and evaluating system-level technical design
• 2-3 years with hands-on experience in HW-related roles (mechanical engineer / electronics engineer/ System engineer / or similar) – must
• Experience in hands-on lasers / Active alignment process / electro-optics / sensors - big advantage
• Ability to work efficiently in a multi-disciplinary environment with tight, fast-paced development schedules
• Time management skills and multi-tasking capabilities
• Background in writing Python scripts- advantage
• Good familiarity with testing and measurement tools and equipment
• Motivated, self-learner, rigorous, good interpersonal skills
• Ability to detect problems at the system level
